Boating Laws

Boating laws in Oklahoma are very simple: If you are 12, 13, 14 or 15 years of age and operate a boat powered by a motor more than 10 horsepower, a sailboat 16 feet or greater in length or a personal watercraft (PWC), you are required to successfully complete a boating safety education class. That is Oklahoma law though we encourage everyone to take the exam because simply put just as there are bad drivers on the roads there are bad boaters on the water. Be safe and don't let your day on the lake end in tragedy.

There are several online sources where you can take the Boater Education class. DMV.com is the definitive source for approved course and classes. The up beat id that once you pass the exam you can print out your tempoary card immediately.
